Our Fine Feathered Friends

I still can visualize Jett’s smile from ear to ear as he walked out of school beaming while swinging a cardboard box carrier! He had won a baby chick (again) and was one proud boy!

 Jett has wanted a pet since the day he was born but with our townhome situation and crazy summer-living life I’ve had to postpone that dream of his for awhile! 

However his chick, I couldn't resist and said yes! It was a furry, fuzzy little bird and him and Shelby were in awe! Jett even named him Chicken Little. We instantly went and bought a couple more buddies (Jade and Chick Hicks!) for it too. As you see Jett named each one after much thought and consideration. 

They were fun, furry critters and they loved feeding them worms that they found outside or from the pet store! Within days we noticed Chicken Little had a growing problem, it literally had quadrupled the size of the others! After they all got some growth to them we knew the perfect adoptive parents…Nana and Grandpa! 

We are so lucky they have spoiled the 3 chickens and they even made them a outdoor coop to join the other feathered friends that they have!

 We can’t wait to see them next however sad but true it will just be two.  Chicken Little passed away! We are lucky we still have a couple and look forward to them laying eggs! Maybe just maybe one will be golden…!
